底特律室内乐, in partnership with 韦德体育app官网’s 音乐、戏剧和舞蹈学院, will present “奥克兰Winterfest” on February 2月24日ruary 25 and March 1 in Varner Recital Hall, located on the OU campus at 371 Varner Drive in Rochester, 密歇根州.
The concert series will feature performances by the award-winning Aizuri四重奏; cellist 赛斯·帕克·伍兹 and 朋友; and pianist 迈克尔·斯蒂芬·布朗.
“The theme of our 80th season is ‘Visionaries,’” said 底特律室内乐 president Steve Wogaman. “These three concerts at 韦德体育app官网 feature among the most creative and talented artists of their generation, representing a spectacular glimpse into the future of classical music in America.”

Aizuri四重奏 — Emma Frucht (violin), 美穗(小提琴), Brian Hong(中提琴), and Caleb van der Swaagh (cello) — has established a unique position within today’s musical landscape, infusing its music-making with infectious energy, 欢乐与温暖. The ensemble cultivates curiosity in listeners and invites audiences into the concern experience through its innovative programming and the depth and fire of its performances.
Praised by the Washington Post for “astounding” and “captivating” performances that draw from its notable “meld of intellect, 技巧和情绪,” the Aizuri四重奏 was named the recipient of the 2022 Cleveland Quartet Award by Chamber Music America, and was awarded the Grand Prize at the 2018 M-Prize Chamber Arts Competition.

“奥克兰Winterfest” will conclude at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 1 with a performance by pianist 迈克尔·斯蒂芬·布朗.
Winner of a 2018 Emerging Artist Award from Lincoln Center and a 2015 Avery Fisher Career Grant, Brown has been praised for his “fearless performances” by The New York Times. He has recently performed as soloist with the Seattle Symphony, 国家爱乐乐团, 还有大急流城, 北卡罗莱纳, 纽黑文, and Albany symphonies; and in recital at Carnegie Hall, 莫扎特音乐节, 和Caramoor. He is an artist of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, performing frequently at Alice Tully Hall and on tour.
